About the Artist

I didn't grow up thinking I wanted to be an artist—at least, not officially. But teenage me, full of big dreams and mild rebellion, stumbled upon a documentary about the Impressionists on PBS, and suddenly, the world looked different. Monet, Renoir, Cassatt—they didn’t just paint; they broke the rules. I mean, they turned something ordinary like haystacks into poetry, and made the everyday feel extraordinary. I was inspired.

Did I immediately dedicate my life to art? No, not exactly. I took one university art class (as an elective), went about my life, and then dabbled a bit with painting in 2018, and then…the pandemic happened. With nowhere to go and too much time on my hands, I picked up a brush. At first, it was just to pass the time. Then it became a habit. Then a chronic habit. Now, I can’t imagine life without it.

I’m taking the leap from hobbyist into the world of art—creating work that’s romantic, and rich with storytelling. I paint what intrigues me, from cats, to foxes and florals, to elegant figures lost in thought. No strict rules, just instinct, curiosity, imagination, and a relentless pursuit of romance.

Artist Statement
I am a self-taught artist who paints with mood, beauty, romance and storytelling as the core of my work. My style is inspired by the Impressionists—Monet, Renoir, Cassatt—but with my own twist, leaning into emotion, romance, and quiet drama. Whether it’s a poised cat, a fox, a thoughtful figure, or an ethereal landscape, I paint what moves me. Acrylics are my primary medium, but I explore other mediums that helps bring my vision to life. Literature, personal experiences, and fleeting moments all find their way into each piece.

Education & Artistic Development
Self-Taught Artist | A lifelong learner with a hands-on approach, I’ve explored various mediums, including acrylics, oils, ink, charcoal, ceramics, sculpture, and digital art. My journey is one of experimentation, growth, and an insatiable need to create.
University Art Class (Elective) | The one official class I took, but everything else has been passion-driven.
